About Me
My name is Melodie Fais. I have a background in the fine arts, and hold a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. My professional dance and choreography training spanned from my childhood through my 20s. In my 20 years as a dancer, I learned to not only communicate without words, but how to interact and read information the body gives through physics, kinesiology, anatomy and touch.
While working in my previous career as a store designer, my grandmother fell very ill. During her time in hospice, my family and I were lucky enough to have a holistic nurse visit our home. This is where I learned acupressure and other modalities to support end of life care.

After her passing, to honor her life, I started my Chinese Medicine journey at Pacific College of Health and Sciences in New York.
With my learned experiences from my training, and life, I have come to hone my skills within the realm of acupuncture, cupping, traditional herbal medicine, and tui na.

Through Spirit Storehouse Acupuncture, I strive to provide personalized, holistic care that addresses the root causes of my patients' health issues, not just their symptoms. I am committed to continuing to learn and make qualified choices about their care. I aim to create a safe space to empower patients to take an active role in their own healing journey and to support them in achieving optimal health and vitality in all areas of their lives.

Digestive Health
A love of anatomy and kinetic chains guides me in orthopedic acupuncture. This allows me to address musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain with personalized treatment plans.
Performer's Health
Repetition, exhaustion, vocal health, emotional health, injuries during performance, and overall support. Acupuncture and herbal medicine has a special ability to aid in the unique needs of performers.
I specialize in mental-emotional work, providing compassionate support for stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional imbalances through acupuncture and holistic healing.
Aging Support
Aches, pains, changes in menstrual cycle, hearing loss, mobility issues, arthritis, changes in temperature, and bladder health are all concerns as we age. Acupuncture is not only supportive, but can ease and regulate any further changes.
With many family and friends diagnosed with digestion and gut health issues. I find acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments designed to address digestive upset, such as GERD, IBS, and chronic constipation very effective.
LGBTQIA+
I strive to create a safe space for everyone. However, I do recognize the challenges of the LGBTQIA+ community in healthcare. In my practice, I work to give my patients the care and space they need without generalization or assumptions.
